Following the devastation of Puerto Rico by Hurricane Maria, Cooper University Health Care and the Norcross Foundation worked to help the island. Cooper worked with FEMA and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to send much-needed supplies as well as a team of physicians, nurses and other health care professionals. The Norcross Foundation covered the estimated $100,000 cost to transport supplies and the medical support team to the U.S. territory.
